Strategy and International Trade Opportunities Free Samples
Questions: 1.What is strategy?2.Discuss about the International Trade Opportunities. Answers: 1.Strategy The video talks about different important terminologies towards the formulation of strategy in different organizations. The organizations should aim for becoming the low cost provider of the service so that there is more number of customers for the company. It is also important to pursue a global strategy that would be competitive and would provide best services to the clients (Eden and Ackermann 2013). The best business solutions should integrate a set of local acquisitions so that these provide better business prospects for the organization (Eden and Ackermann 2013). A company should also strive for giving unrivaled customer services, which implies that the company should aim for providing the best customer service and address all the queries of the customers. The organizations should strive to be the first-mover, which implies that the organizations should incorporate value added services or innovative services to their products or services so that they become the first ones to do so (Verbeke 2013). It is also important to shift the focus to the industrial applications so that they provide more product variety to the clients. These pointers are not considered as strategies that are considered as tactics, which are considered as small components of strategy (Eden and Ackermann 2013). These strategies can also be regarded as objectives and goals, which should be used by the organizations to demonstrate their business acumen. These ideas of strategy are highly relevant in modern day organizations, including Coca Cola. Coca Cola should strive to provide the best services to the customers by including healthy ingredients in their products (Coca-cola.com 2017). The company should incorporate innovative ingredients in their products, such as healthy drink alternatives, which would attract the health conscious customers of the company. It should also strive to provide unique customers service to the organizational clients, preferably in both online and offline mediums (Coca-cola.com 2017). It should answer the queries of the customers, which would improve their business prospects. The company would really benefit from the above strategies. It should integrate local customizations to its products so that they are able to fulfill the preferences of the customers. The increased focus on the local tastes of people would help the company to build customer friendly products that would increase the revenue generation of the organization. It is important to adopt a global strategy for the organization to be successful in the market and to survive the tough competition. The business strategies of IBM Singapore involve a high degree of innovation that would be combined with the artificial intelligence (Ibm.com 2017). The organization aims to put greater emphasis on the transformations in the organization that increase the profitability and the growth (Ibm.com 2017). There is an increased investment in the country so that they can have global audiences and better business prospects (Ibm.com 2017). However, it was not able to attract a large number of local mergers or acquisitions in order to gain better business prospects. It has failed to be the low cost service provider and there are competitors who provide better services to the customers. 2.International Trade Opportunities CAGE is a framework, which is based on the different international and research economics that affects the trade between two countries, which is influenced by different factors (Ghemawat 2013). The application of CAGE framework is dependent on the fact that the managers should identify different attractive locations, which would be based on the costs, raw materials, access to the markets and others (Ghemawat 2013). For example, Cadbury is interested in markets with relatively high purchasing power of the consumers. An international market expansion strategy would be based on the determination of specific resources as well as capabilities of the firm. CAGE defines cultural distance, administrative distance, geographic distance and economic distance (Ghemawat 2012). There is significant cultural difference between the countries, which needs to be considered prior to the international expansion of Cadbury. The values of people of India would be different from that of New Zealand and thi s must be taken into account by the business managers (Ghemawat 2013). They should also focus on the administrative distance, which refers to the present and historical associations between the countries (Ghemawat 2013). The geographic factors take into consideration the physical distance between the two countries or trading partners. The economic distance factor should take into account the fundamental differences in terms of economic criteria such as income, purchasing power of geographic markets and others. Cadbury should consider these factors while venturing into international market expansion. There are considerable amount of difference between the CAGE framework of China and Australia. The Chinese culture focuses on the art of indirect communication while the Australians focus more on the direct communication (Bowe Martin and Manns 2014). The personal space is important for Australians, which is not the case for Chinese people. China is characterized by a command economy, which implies that the central power makes all decisions regarding investment and production (Economy and Levi 2014). On the other hand, the Australian economy is characterized by mixed market economy, which is dominant by the private sector. In China, the distribution of labor is concentrated in primary, secondary and tertiary sectors (Bowe Martin and Manns 2014). In Australia, there is concentration of the labor force in the tertiary sectors such as tourism. The geographic distance between China and Australia is 7,448 kilometers and the air distance is considered as 4,628 miles (Ayson 2012). China is c onsidered as the largest country in terms of population. Australia, on the other hand, is considered as slightly smaller than US and it has 7.62 million square meter of land (Ayson 2012). The economic condition of Australia points on the fact that it has continuous growth as well as different features of low unemployment (Bowe Martin and Manns 2014). It was also characterized by the low public debt and strong financial system. On the other hand, China has been characterized by centrally planned system and it has led to a major role in the global market References Ayson, R., 2012. Research Proposal on Parental Involvement Essay Example
Research Proposal on Parental Involvement Essay Parental involvement is the participation of parents in the educational process of their children. Parental involvement is a wise decision of the government to improve the quality of education in the country. It is based on a very simple factor: total parental control over their children and constant help if they have problems with studying. When a child goes to school and has certain troubles with some subjects, the teacher often can not devote enough time to him, because classes are quite big and it is impossible to work with children individually. If a trouble occurs, the teacher asks parents to help their child with the problematic questions of a certain subject. Parental involvement is mostly expected to improve the behavior of a child and his attitude towards studying, because very often parents can not help him with education itself. When parents and teachers cooperate, the success of the educational process is supposed to be achieved. Parents control the time of a child, check his homework, make sure he does not miss classes and the teachers only have to share their knowledge with a kid. info tech essays
info tech essays Topology means how a network is set up. Token Ring topology is one of them. It means that several computers are connected in a ring. When one computer wants to send data to another, it has to catch a free token which gives the permission to send data. As soon as one particular machine gets the token, it has the control over the whole network which means no other computer can send data. Then it puts its destination address and the data on the token, and sends the token to the machine thatà ¡s next to it. If the next machine is not the destination, it will pass the data on and on until it gets to the address. When the addressed station gets the data, it can not keep the message and release the token. It copies the data, then it sends the message back to the initiator with the acknowledgment to say that it has received the data. After the initiator receives the message and reads the acknowledgment, the free token can be released onto the ring. There are similarities and differences between Token Ring topology and Bus topology. In a Bus topology (Ethernet) all devices are connected to a central cable, called the bus or backbone.(ce.org/networkguide/netstructure/net4.asp) Ring topology is similar to Bus topology in that both networks have multiple access so that the messages will got to every station on the network. However, they are different. First, a Token Ring network has a ring which connects the network instead of a cable. Second, for Ethernet, when computers get messages which do not belong to them, they will not keep them and pass them on. Token Ring topology is different. Every machine on the network will keep passing on the data until it gets to its destination. Third, a computer on a Bus network has to wait for the network to be clear in order to send data packets. A Ring network has a token, so as soon as a machine ca ...

Words That Turn on the Root Vert
Words That Turn on the Root Vert Words That Turn on the Root Vert Words That Turn on the Root Vert By Mark Nichol The Latin verb vertere, meaning ââ¬Å"turn,â⬠is the source of a number of English words that pertain to shifting oneââ¬â¢s position from the status quo. The list below defines many of these terms (those with prefixes, and their various grammatical forms); a subsequent post will continue the discussion of additional words in the vertere family: those with suffixes and those with the variant root vers rather than vert. Vert is a rare verb meaning ââ¬Å"turn in some direction,â⬠and those four letters constitute the foundation of most words on this list. When attached to a prefix stemming from the element ad-, it yields the verb avert (from the Latin verb avertere, meaning ââ¬Å"turn awayâ⬠), which retains the sense of its etymological source (usually in the sense of prevention) and the adjective averse, meaning ââ¬Å"disinclined,â⬠and the noun aversion, describing a disinclination bordering on distaste or disgust. Advert, of the same Latin derivation, means ââ¬Å"turn toward,â⬠though this sense is rare; the word is (in British English) now more common as an abbreviation for the noun advertisement. The verb advertise originally meant ââ¬Å"informâ⬠or ââ¬Å"warnâ⬠; eventually, it acquired the connotation of ââ¬Å"call attention to goods for sale,â⬠and the noun became likewise associated with announcements of available products. (In American English, the short form is ad, often misspelled in lay writing as add, perhaps from an erroneous association with addition.) The act of using advertisements, and the industry based on doing so, are called advertising. To ââ¬Å"turnâ⬠something or someone so that it or him or her is in agreement with something or someone else (whether a device to be made compatible with another or a person whose beliefs are to be aligned with anotherââ¬â¢s) is to convert; the concept is called conversion. Converse, meaning ââ¬Å"talk,â⬠is a back-formation of conversation, which originally meant ââ¬Å"living togetherâ⬠and subsequently became a euphemism for sexual intercourse; this sense slightly preceded that pertaining to speaking with someone else. Someone who speaks with others, generally in the context of complimenting the person for skill in doing so, is a conversationalist; a rare variant is conversationist. To divert is to turn away; to present multiple qualities (thus turning away from a single reference point) is to be diverse. An act of turning away is a diversion, and an act of making something more diverse, or the natural process by which this occurs, is diversification. Evert and its adjectival and noun forms, which pertain to turning out or over, are rare, but invert, meaning ââ¬Å"reverse,â⬠is commonly used to describe turning something upside down; the noun is inversion. Subvert has the same general meaning, with the connotation of upending what is considered standard; the adjectival form is subversive, and the noun is subversion. The verb pervert, originally an antonym for the religious sense of convert, came to mean, more broadly, ââ¬Å"corrupt.â⬠The word as a noun, by association, refers to someone with deviant sexual urges; perv (sometimes perve) is a slang truncation of the noun and as a verb pertains to perverted behavior. A corruption of accepted behavior or belief, meanwhile, is called a perversion; the adjectival form for the former sense, meanwhile, is perverse. The verbs extrovert and introvert mean ââ¬Å"turn outwardâ⬠and ââ¬Å"turn inward,â⬠respectively; each also serves as a noun describing a person with a personality consistent with the respective meaning. The adjectival forms are extroverted (alternatively, extraverted in the context of psychology) and introverted, and the action of turning outward or inward is described, respectively, as extroversion or introversion. Someone who exhibits both personality traits is an ambivert, and that state is called ambiversion. Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Provider Roles in Spiritual Care Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words
Provider Roles in Spiritual Care - Essay Example From this discussion it is clear that the spiritual dimension of the client is strongly evident during illness, stress, difficulties, and end-life-care when people strongly needed the direction and comfort derived from their spiritual preferences. Faith and religion are essential components of a clientââ¬â¢s spiritual dimension and health provider has the responsibility to have self-awareness of oneââ¬â¢s spiritual preferences before integrating a non-biased spiritual care. This paper outlines that spiritual care is the most difficult task of a provider, specially the nurses. Most of the nurses lack adequate training for spiritual care giving and may influence the provision of adequate spiritual care. Healthcare providers such as nurses need to have formal education training or graduate programs in pastoral counseling or ministry in order to provide an excellent and competent spiritual care and to refer clients to other spiritual care providers as needed. Real and Intellectual Property Law Briefs Case Study
Real and Intellectual Property Law Briefs - Case Study Example Golde made many post operative trips to the medical center for regular check ups. In addition to the normal check ups the doctors at the medical centre conducted research on the cells extracted from Moore's body and hoped to benefit commercially from the results of their research. However, this fact about research was not disclosed to Moore by the Doctors. From the research conducted on Moore's cells, a cell line was developed and got patented by Dr. Golde. Later Golde entered into agreement with the Genetic Institute and was the main beneficiary of the commercial exploits. Moore later sued Dr. Golde and other defendants over the issue. Although the Court discarded Moore's basic claim and ruled that he had no property rights as such or over any money made later on by the defendants by the research conducted and later exploitingg it commercially. It however, said that the defendants were obliged to disclose to Moore the financial angle involved in the cells extracted from Moore's body, so in these circumstances although Moore who had no property rights was free to bring a claim of injuries against the defendants. The decision was given by a bench of Supreme Court of California. Various arguments were forwarded by the counsel for the Plaintiff. The Hon'ble Supreme Court examined them in deatail and reached to a conclusion that the person has no absolute right to the products of his body because they are not unique and further espoused that legislature has formulated laws that stated that forbid patients under some treatment to possess their extracted organs. In this case the plaintiff's spleen was taken out to protec t his life from a life threatening situation but the court ruled out that the patient has an right over the spleen after it has been extracted from his body to save his life and under normal circumstances affected organs or body parts have to be disposed or may be used for research for the advancement of the medical profession. The Court feared that by extending property rights to body parts could spell a doom for the medical profession in general as it is a norm that the affected cells or body parts taken out from patient's body are used for research purposes. Moreover, Moore had given his consent too for the procedure. Although, to some extent it can be said that the consent was not informed as the whole procedure may not have been explained to him verbatim and there were some commercial interests involved. But to that he can only sue his Doctor i.e. Mr. Golde but the other defendants have no liability towards him. Main Issue : The highlight of this judgment was not to extend the status of property to ill human organs as that would have leaded to a plethora of damage suits and loss to the advancement of medical profession. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY CASE A&M Records, Inc. v. Napster, Inc. Brief Facts : It can be said that this intellectual property law case an landmark case in which the United Court of Appeals decided that
